Rolex Oyster Precision Reference 6425
Another 36mm Vintage Rolex Worthy of Praise
By Charlie Dunne
For those who love time-only vintage Rolex models, the Rolex Oyster Precision Reference 6425 is a fantastic example to pay attention to. Absent of “Perpetual” and instead featuring “Precision” on the dial, the ref. 6425 is a manual wind movement. It features a beautiful engine-turned bezel, whereas its predecessor (the 6424) features a smooth bezel.

In the present example, the hour markers are very distinct. Similar to the reference 1018, the longer 3, 6 and 9 make for a balanced dial and the minimal font gives it a very open look. The luminous plots are tritium as noted in the “T SWISS T” at 6 o’clock.
