A Longines Conquest Presentation Stand

By Charlie Dunne

As you may know by know, I am in entranced with Longines as a manufacturer. This appreciation stretches beyond the timepieces into the interesting accessories and ephemera that surrounds the brand. Whether it is writing about ‘A Potentially Pre-Conquest Presentation Box’ or digging into the story of a pair of Longines reference 5356s awarded at the 1952 Winter Army Championships In Andermatt, it is hard to argue that the timepieces of Saint-Imier are not among the most fascinating watches for passionate vintage enthusiasts. While this write up is nothing groundbreaking, and rather short and sweet, I felt it would be appealing to fellow Longines lovers or those just getting into the brand. I recently came across this Longines Conquest presentation stand the week prior to a friend’s birthday. While I was tempted to keep it, I just felt compelled to gift it as it would make for an awesome addition within the collector’s bookshelf amongst other vintage Longines material. Below are a few flicks for anyone curiously searching the internet for context of the retailer and marketing material.
